Confidence in God's Continuing Work
We trust that God, who began His work within us, will faithfully carry it on to completion as we await Christ’s return.

“being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
Reflection
Life’s journey often brings uncertainty and moments when we wonder if the good begun in us will ever reach fulfillment. Yet, Paul assures believers with deep confidence that God’s work is not only a beginning but a continuous process. This work, started by God’s grace, involves shaping our character, growing our faith, and preparing us for the day of Jesus Christ. It's a patient, loving transformation that unfolds over time. Our hope is anchored not in ourselves but in God's faithful commitment to complete what He has started. When doubt or discouragement arises, this promise invites us to rest in God’s steady hand, knowing the process is secure and purposeful until its glorious completion.
Put it into practice
Today, remember to place your hope firmly in God’s faithful work within you, trusting Him to carry it forward patiently and fully.
A prayer for today
Gracious God, thank You that You are not finished with me. Help me to rest in Your ongoing work in my life, trusting Your timing and loving purpose. Strengthen my hope, sustain my faith, and keep me steadfast until Christ returns. In Jesus' name, Amen.
