Empowered by the Spirit: Living Without Fear
Believers receive from God a spirit that replaces fear with power, love, and self-discipline, enabling confident faith amid life's challenges.

“For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.”
Reflection
Fear often restricts our ability to live boldly for God and pursue His purpose. Scripture teaches that fear is not from God; instead, He provides us with a Spirit that brings power, love, and self-control. This divine power enables courage in difficult times, love transforms our interactions with others, and self-discipline helps us make wise decisions. By embracing this Spirit, timid hearts become confident, trusting God rather than uncertain feelings. Growing spiritually means continually depending on this inner strength to face life's challenges with faith and boldness.
Put it into practice
When fear arises, pause and remember God's Spirit within you brings strength, love, and wise self-control. Choose to respond with faith instead of fear.
A prayer for today
Father, thank You for replacing fear with Your empowering Spirit. Help me live boldly, showing Your love and exercising self-control. Strengthen my faith so I can trust You fully and step forward courageously in every situation. In Jesus' name, Amen.
