Grace That Shines Through Our Weakness
God’s grace meets us exactly where we are, revealing His power most fully when we acknowledge our weaknesses and depend on Him.

“He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.”
Reflection
In 2 Corinthians 12:9, Paul shares a powerful divine promise: God's grace is enough to sustain us, and His strength shows completeness when our own weaknesses are clear. This teaches us that it’s not through our might but through surrender and reliance on God that His power truly works in us. Life often confronts us with challenges that expose our limits, but these moments also invite us to experience God’s sustaining grace more deeply. Paul’s choice to boast in his weaknesses embraces humility and dependence, pointing us toward a faith that finds strength in God rather than self. We are encouraged to welcome our imperfections and difficulties, not as reasons for despair but as spaces where Christ’s power can rest and grow.
Put it into practice
Today, identify one area where you feel weak or insufficient and instead of hiding it, invite God’s grace to work in that place, trusting His power to strengthen you.
A prayer for today
Gracious Lord, thank You that Your grace is enough for me. Help me to embrace my weaknesses and rely fully on Your power. Teach me to find glory not in my strength, but in Your sustaining grace. Let Your power rest upon me and transform my frailty into testimony. Amen.
