The Heart of God Is Love
Knowing God means embracing His nature of love, which calls us to love others genuinely and deeply.

“He who doesn’t love doesn’t know God, for God is love.”
Reflection
The apostle John reveals a profound truth: God is love, and anyone who does not love does not truly know Him. This statement challenges us to consider the nature of our relationship with God. Love is not merely an attribute of God; it is His very essence. To know God is to experience His love and to respond in kind by loving those around us. Genuine Christian life flows from this root of divine love. Without love, spiritual knowledge remains incomplete and disconnects us from God’s presence. Loving others is the tangible proof of our connection to God, illuminating our hearts and transforming our lives. In a world often marked by self-interest and division, reflecting God’s love can be radical and renewing. Our love, inspired by God’s perfect love, shapes how we interact with others and fulfill our purpose as God’s children.
Put it into practice
Today, intentionally show love in a practical way to someone around you, reflecting God’s nature through your actions and words.
A prayer for today
O God of love, teach my heart to know You more deeply and to express Your love through me. Help me to reflect Your kindness and compassion to others, so that in loving them, I may live closer to You. Amen.
