Born of God: Loving One Another as Evidence of God’s Presence
Love originates uniquely from God, marking those born of Him by their authentic love for others.

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves has been born of God, and knows God.”
Reflection
1 John 4:7 invites us to embrace love as a defining characteristic of those who truly know God. Love is not merely a feeling or a social ideal; it is the very nature of God Himself. When we love one another genuinely, we reflect God's heart and demonstrate that we have been born anew through Him. This love transcends obligation or convenience—it flows from an intimate relationship with God. Recognizing that love is a divine attribute encourages us to pursue it actively, forging bonds of kindness, patience, and grace with others. It is in loving others that we reveal God's life working within us and grow deeper in fellowship with Him.
Put it into practice
Today, let us intentionally choose to love those around us, remembering that loving others is living out God’s very nature in us.
A prayer for today
Father, thank You for loving us first and for making love the essence of who You are. Help me to love others genuinely, reflecting Your presence in my life. Teach me to see people through Your eyes and to extend grace and kindness as You do. May my love be a true expression of You, drawing others closer to Your heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
